In an increasingly competitive business world, making the most of your employees is key to your success. Not only does equipping your staff with better skills improve the quality of your product, it also provides a wide range of associate benefits, such as improvements to morale, productivity, attainment of corporate goals, employer-employee relations and your corporate image.
Our website aims to help you find a training programme to make your business more competitive. As well as improving the quality of your work, training could also enable your company to expand the nature of the work that you are able to offer. Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way of achieving these aims.
Capel Manor College offers packages of training tailored to meet your specific demands.
Because we recognise the importance of turning experience and training into industry-relevant qualifications, we build assessments into our courses. This process is facilitated through our on-site NPTC (City and Guilds)-accredited assessment centre. This fully independent centre offers qualifications covering arboriculture, horticulture
and animal care disciplines.
To find out what our business partners think of us, see the testimonials here. Our programmes are endorsed by leading employers in the land-based sectors: we are the college of choice for the delivery of the prestigious Royal Parks Apprenticeships Programme, which sees ten apprentices per year working on an intensive three-year course based in royal parks around London. A college with a genuine belief in on-the-job education, we spend our own money on an in-house apprenticeship scheme, supervised by the head gardeners on our 30-acre Enfield estate.
Our students’ record is also consistently above the national average. Between 2008-09, our success rate in arboriculture was 100 per cent and in horticulture it was 73 per cent, against national averages of 83 and 67 per cent respectively. We are also
one of only a handful of colleges to offer the Trees and Timber apprenticeship programme.

The short courses we offer can be taken at our centres across London, based at Gunnersbury Park, Regent’s Park, Crystal Palace Park or Barking and Dagenham College, as long as the sites are suitable for the course concerned. We can also carry out training on your premises – please don’t hesitate to ask for more information.
